Significance Of World Logic Day

World Logic Day History

The first World Logic Day was held on January 14, 2019, in approximately 60 locations worldwide. Based on a detailed report, Jean-Yves Béziau, Editor-in-Chief of Logica Universalis and President of the Brazilian Academy of Philosophy, presented a project to the Ambassador of Brazil to UNESCO, Maria Edileuza Fontenelle Reis, in April 2019 in Paris, for this day to be designated as a UNESCO international day. Following approval by the Brazilian government, the Ambassador presented the project to the UNESCO Executive Council, which was supported by 17 other countries, and it was approved on October 17, 2019. According to the Executive Council’s decision, January 14 has been designated as World Logic Day.
